I’m English and proud of it. I’m not going to apologise for anything that was done hundreds of years ago. I will agree with some of the posts made by Irish people, In that to generalise is ignorance. In 1066 Norman invaders conquered england and proceeded to embark on a campaign of rape and murder not seen again until Nazi Germany, so bad infact that William the conquered asked foe absoultion for his crimes against the English on his death bed, but i don’t go around bad mouthing french people from Normandy, why, because it happened a ****ing long time ago. You just have to let the past go, or it will control you.

JbrayI like drinking also, and I’m English by the way, this means that we have something in common. As I said in my earlier post most of what was said in this post earlier which has been devisive and frankly bollocks. I just hope that people In Ireland can let go of the past in the way that they should, life is too short.

Ok, now i’m not Irish. im Lithuanian and im in Ireland for the fifth year now. Work and study all the time. I dunno why this site is still up. It should be put down. And the idiot on the video should be kicked out of the country love Ireland , love beautiful Irish girls.. Well weather isn’t good and government actually is crappy.. But hey.. Show me at least one government that wouldn’t be in other words from what I’ve seen here in Ireland i would say Ireland is great country if you would ask most of the Poles,Russians,Lithuanians..whatever , 90 out of 100 would say that Ireland is great place to be.. So all you black asses get a hell out of here )) yes I’m a racist towards black-asses as they are real headache ;D

I lived in ni for ten years and didn’t like it one bit. The mentality of sectarianism pervades every level of society and makes life thoroughly unpleasent. I laugh when I hear people make generalisations about England, because tarring whole nations with the same brush just makes you an idiot. As for englands colonial past, if you judge it by today’s standards it’s indefensible, but I’m not going to accept any **** from anybody because some Norman, (at the behest of an Irish king) went to Ireland for financial gain, I didn’t do it, I wasn’t even alive when it was done! And to those Irish people who want to sit on the historical moral high ground and jeer, who was it that slaughtered the native Americans, you guessed it European immigrants, manyof them Irish. Howdoes it feel to know that your countryen reduced a population of 60million to 500,000 in less then a 150 years. I bet it doesn’t feel good does it, but I still wouldn’t give you a hard timeover it, because youwerent even born when it happened. Frankly you just need to get over it and move on.

It’s sad the racism is around, but considering the young lads dialect, I wonder where else would he receive an decent reception as his parents likely did when they came to Ireland pleading asylum whilst mother is heavily pregnant. Not too many will be sympathetic

I wonder how that young boy’s mam got residency in Ireland?? If that you lad feels so strongly he or his sibling could always give back their Irish passport and return to the sunny climes of their origin.

But still, he is here now, shame he sees this this way. No doubt there are idiots in all walks of life who judge someone by their colour. The weather, well, thats life! Wonder does his colour prevent him from free access to medical care and education? The murder level is high, jesus christ and their country of origin is the safest place? ha. By the way that RTE news clip related to a fight between non Irish asylum seekers who were in an asylum centre, its sad, but you can’t blame Ireland for that one.
