All they go on about is alcohol, how they are the biggest drinkers in the world – when they aren’t, they are no bigger drinkers than anywhere else. They are so unfrielndly, ive been to dublin three times – not through choice, for work- and they are an unfriendly lot.
i just hate them… i hate celts.. i hate how thick they are… all thats in ireland is mud and cowpat.. nothing decent.. the culture sucks.. the people do too… dirty greedy liars.. and they deserved everything that the english ever did to them cos if u trace it bk.. they always started it.. thats why the english decided to conquer them in the first place… their scum… st. patrick who they say is irish was a ****ing roman englishman who went to convert the heathens.. their poverty is their own silly doing.. the green ****… was the colour of the flag the english gave them… i wud seriously love to see them all dead
The “Craic” is non existent and what are the Irish all so proud of ???….the roads are ****e and the drivers too (what’s all this pulling out of side roads without stopping first? and why has everyone gotta be on the phone when they drive?). Generally out of Dublin, they’re ignorant, blinkered and racist. All the towns i’ve been though are dirty and scruffy. The cheese and bread you buy is **** and processed and everything is over priced. Service sucks and you can’t rely on anyone to do what they promise or are contracted to do. Everyone is late. Dogs chase you where ever you go and **** in your garden when you are at home. I’ve been living here 15 months and can’t wait to get back to England. Yes, it has it’s faults…but from my experience it’s cleaner, got more charm, courtesy, order and civilty than i’ve endured in Ireland.
I live in ireland. its great, go over to england and they’re all stuck up thick idiots.
at least here we DO have the craic! if u say the craic is non existant then ur probably foreign and can’t have fun.
Our roads are crappy,we do admit that we ****ed up our countrys finances but seriously BOOHOO!
Our government is ****e but what can u do. Whoever it was that said its full of cow pat? u ****in idiot! do u think we’re just farmers living in the countryside milking the cows and scrounging off everyone else? Seriously, get a life!
If your calling us ignorant racists just read your comments! We’re probably racist when the person we speak to thinks their better then us. i understand its your beliefs but to be honest, ur all wrong! so **** you’s!
It’s fairly typical isn’t it??? Some piss pipes banging their gums about,
irish culture, when is so ****ing blatantly apparent that these vacuous,
wipes, are a product of their own bastard nation, and i pity the puke that,
squirted them out.
I am from spain and living in ireland for 2 years,I am very angry at these people saying negative things about the irish, since ive being hear the irish people are very friendly and wellcoming to me and are very similer to the spanish people,I here alot of foreigners in ireland (from countrys im not going to mention out of resect for the good people from there) saying alot of negitive things about irish, most of these people are just unhappy weak individual’s that have noting to offer to ireland,And like to blame Ireland for there falure in life,I think these people should learn what u “give in this life is what you get back”
hey pete
I can see why your having such a bad time living in Ireland, your a complete loser who is siting at your computer wanking yourself into a early grave while everyone else is enjoying themself on Patricks Day!! Please go back to England, then you can do all the great english activities; like tearing up stadiums and rioting outside them, beating up minorities, losing in rugby, eating curry, all while listening to coldplay!!
1. Get over the weather have good weather sometimes.
2. Ireland is one of the friendliest places in the world.
3. We are not racist.
4. Go to any other country in the world and you will find higher murder rates.
Wow! You guys are so weird haha I can’t believe this site actually exists. is this a joke?
Everyone loves Ireland and the Irish. Especially we Americans. In fact I find the Irish so much friendlier than the English. They are very Americanized, maybe that’s why some English folks here dislike them. I don’t know. Well, one thing I’ll say is the young Irish get braces and have good straight white teeth and are pretty healthy. I noticed in England well haha what can I say, you guys have yellow crooked teeth. Pretty disgusting. You could learn a lot from the Irish. I think you are annoyed cause they aren’t like England perhaps. But who would want to be like England? Ok well cheer up you guys! And join the millions of people who love the Irish
Hey you are a guest in our country. Act accordingly and show some respect! We don’t care what bull**** **** ideas you got about us. We are a proud and patriotic people and frankly don’t care about what some weird English guy thinks, why would we? We’re better than you and we know it. Our nation is more democratic than the United Kingdom, according to rankings by the United Nations. Our kids get a good college education unlike the UK where a high percentage don’t go to college, maybe you are one of them and that’s why you come across as a major dumbass. You are privileged to live in our nation so wise up! And sure we have an economic downturn which is already improving cause we are educated and that’s why so many companies have located here.
” Dogs chase you where ever you go and **** in your garden when you are at home.” Are you on drugs? You need help! I seriously think you take drugs. Maybe a psychiatrist could help. I’m not joking.
seriously this is the most ****ed site ever you could have one of these for every country…and all its full of is your stereotypes not everyone in irleland is the same so why say u hate irish people when ur talking about ireland…and for the guy who complained about the roads that is true lol the roads are shocking..but thats the governments fault and they are a bunch off ****s so dont blame everyone in Ireland for it(the road thing was just an example) so stop stereotyping u idiots. have a nice day
english people are ****ing ****s they think we all drink, are farmers, have stupid accents and ireland is covered in mud. they come over and kill and rape and destroy our heritage and as soon as we fight back we are terrorists.i would love to see one of these english people say all this ****e to an irish person cuz they would get their heads kicked in.
HWe deserved everything the English did to us? The English are despised worldwide. Australia, New Zealand, Africa, America,Scotland you name it, they’ve made people suffer there.
Whether its profiting from the slave trade for 200 years, or wiping out 20,000 aborigines within 70 years, the English have treated others sickeningly.
I hate irland.and i hate these ****in farmers as well , Those thick idiots hate england but support english teems. If you hate england so much you dirty milk makers speak on youre own language.
why do you think england conquered ireland? To make the country better than it was. But irish people didnt want to be ruled by england so they chose to fight.. erm bad move i think.. you went against the british empire and failed miserably. Now you wonder why irish people hate england so much its because we killed all your men simply because you went against ours for the better of ireland. **** IRELAND!
I hate ireland because everybody is so intolerant. When will they learn that the love a man has for his donkey is a beautiful thing.
People are always staring like something is wrong, well I’m here to tell you , she dresses sexy just for me, if you dont like it, look away.
“why do you think england conquered ireland? To make the country better than it was. But irish people didnt want to be ruled by england so they chose to fight.. erm bad move i think.. you went against the british empire and failed miserably. Now you wonder why irish people hate england so much its because we killed all your men simply because you went against ours for the better of ireland. **** IRELAND!”
“Irish people are so unfriendly. Once I was talking to an irish guy and he
said “English culture is ****S”. Anyway I came here to say
**** IRELAND!!!!!!”
“I’ve been living here 15 months and can’t wait to get back to England. Yes, it has it’s faults…but from my experience it’s cleaner, got more charm, courtesy, order and civilty than i’ve endured in Ireland.”
“i wud seriously love to see them all dead”
Take a look at these posts.
I am an English man. I live in Braintree, Essex.
May I begin by saying I am disgusted that you call yourself English, you are a disgrace.
Post number 1;
The biggest effect was The Ulster Plantation, this was for land reasons. Landlords from Scottland where taken over to rule over. Also where is this deep resentment of the UK? I have a brother in Ireland. He lives in Cavan. His son plays Rugby in Enniskillen, a town in “The North”, there is a no resent ment there, the children and adults get along fine!
Post number 2;
Please, you will hear that from many places. I have a French friend who once said thoses exact words but instead it was about Belgium.
Post number 3;
Let me tell you a story. We are very alike. In England we have “Chavs”. In Ireland they have “Knackers”. Also there was an Irish family near were I lived. They lived there for many years. The father was a doctor and the mother a teacher. One day there was a BNP rally in Braintree. When they heard that there was an Irish woman teaching in the school, they did something awful. They cornered here aster hours and hospitalised her. The house was attacked and 4 days later their 14 year old son was knifed. Many other people were attacked, a couple from Brazil, two tourists from France. So how can you say we have, your actual words, “got more charm, courtesy, order and civilty than i’ve endured in Ireland”.
Post number 4;
I’m not even going to dignify this.
So before you jump on the bandwagon, saying my country is better, we are more tolerent. Actually ask yourself…is that the truth?
Aligi, ever wonder why most Irish people aren’t fluent in Irish? ****ing tit. Heres a clue, its got something to do with the English. You **** licking skank.
Germans make cars the irish make **** all apart from black porter ****es on a monday morning before they collect their dole. Its time we got rid of the irish vermin.
The standard of spelling and grammar on this site seems to directly reflect the intelligence of the people posting on it.
John Fin, what is “inbreading”? Is it some sort of sandwich-making technique? The less you write, the better. Tool.
Frank Dextro – the Irish are “the most stupid”…..the most stupid what??
Dave, you seem to be King of the Morons. “The Germans make cars”……yes, that’s correct (but they make other things too). So what’s your point? Are you trying to highlight that absolutely nothing of any quality is made in England? Or perhaps, more specifically, you are referring to the now dead English car industry which was wiped out because of poor workmanship and a socialist approach to labour?
I went to university is Trinity and had a bunch of English mates. In fact, almost all the English I met in college were friendly and good fun – so much so, in fact, that it perhaps drew me into prejudging the English to all being this way. This, in turn, led me to vigorously defend the English when they were criticized in my presence (and yes, the majority of Europeans and Americans, at least, do seem to hate the English). Unfortunately, the accuracy of my impressions has been severely questioned by the above posts.
Lads, you’re a bunch of fu€kwitted, bitter little toads. Crawl back under your rocks and continue your rotting, meaningless little lives.
To Dave’s comment on Aug 1st 2009…Ireland may be a backward ****hole but the Irish helped form the most powerful nation in the world.
The current American President is part Irish.
As far as the Irish people being so unfriendly and ignorant…..It is not just the Irish that are like that.No matter where in the world you go you will always find a part of that society is unfriendly and ignorant.
In other words…There is SCUM in every society.
To ALIGI…Learn to spell.
Without the Irish England would be stone cabins and dirt tracks along with the Irish the English used other nationalities for slave labour.
The only things i hate about Ireland is the “Irish Language” which is 100% BULL****. The true Irish language died Hundreds of years ago.
The government is now and has always been run by gangsters.
and then there’s Ireland’s premier journalist..Kevin Myers. He seems to dislike Ireland even more than I dislike England. I like where he’s coming from!
**** all of youse, the english didnt give them a green flag you douchebags what the **** is wrong with the english always trying to get other countries… **** the english
I hate the fact that the Irish changed their constitution several times to keep out the Diaspóra na nGael there are 70 million diaspora all over the world.
Yes, most of these negative comments are true. Outside Dublin is especially bad. I think Irish people are like unpleasant leprechauns, they are horrible but not especially dangerous and this is why the world doesn’t hate them.
In recent years, our property boom filled the greedy leprechaun pots of gold and Irish people developed a really unpleasant sense of superiority. Thankfully, they have got what they deserve now.
Trying to get reliable service in Ireland is terribly difficult.
ireland is great, the only thing that ruins it is stupid ****ing stereotypes that have probably never been outside dublin, about 30 people r stabbed in london every day and the vast mojority of brits are cocaine addicts, hmmmm i know where id rather be! terrorists blow the place up already……….
I am half Irish and half African, born in England, but all my mums family are Irish. I used to love coming here on holiday, it was so green and peaceful, and I truly loved this country. We decided to move here and ever since all I experience on a daily basis is racism. It never seemed to surface when the Irish thought we were just visiting. I hate this country now. I hate it to the very depths of my soul. The sad thing is its no longer an option for me and my family to move back to England. We’re stuck here in this narrow minded, 1950’s time warp. For any Irish people who say their country is not racist, you need to take a good long hard look at yourselves. The Irish emigrated to every country imaginable, USA, Canada,Australia, but god forbid anyone should come to Ireland. Theres an imaginary sign at the ports and airports: If you aint white, don’t bother.
I think the English chavs (like the American rednecks) have been writing some comments here. I’m just guessing with all the bad grammar and spelling and the lack of historical (hysterical) knowledge.
I found the English to be very pleasant when I visited. Thankfully I didn’t encounter any of the horrible uneducated with posts above insulting Ireland.
The simple fact is we care as much about England as we do France or Belgium or any other European country. We do business with you but we don’t care what opinion you have of us. We are our own nation and we’re doing just fine. Don’t let jealousy get to you. Learn from us instead. We are more democratic than the UK according to the United Nations, for example.
Our crime rate is still the lowest in Europe. We still have unarmed police known as the ‘Guardians of Peace’.
Our economy is already getting better and we are still one of the highest paid in Europe.
Our economic ties to the United States are more important to our GDP than the UK. If anything we would care more about what the US thinks of us.
The US loves Ireland. Look at the amount of Irish Americans and the parades on March 17th.
Racism in Ireland? Yes! Racism in any country on earth? Yes!
Political parties or Institutions against Immigrants coming to Ireland? No!
Political parties or Institutions against Immigrants in UK/ France/ Italy/ Austria? Yes! Yes! Yes!
Good moral Christian values? Yes! Divorces in families? .3% Strong sense of community? Yes!
Helping those in need? Charitable work worldwide? Bono helping to eliminate world poverty? Cancelling 3rd world debt? YES!
Fighting for human rights around the world? President Mary Robinson award by President Obama? YES!
One of the highest college going rates in Europe? Yes!
Tourists flocking back year in year out from US, UK, mainland Europe? YES! YES! YES!
Immigrants being welcomed and supported by Irish? YES! 100% Government support to help ‘New Irish’? YES!!!!!!!!!!
I’ve lived in Ireland for eight years and I have more than earned my right to have an opinion on it, having paid ever more taxes with each passing year. It’s exactly this kind of attitude that exemplifies the Irish. “Ah, sure, it’ll be grand” seems to be the defining attitude, and that’s exactly what is crippling this country. Nobody seems to understand their power; the government runs you. You do not have any say on how the government is run, nor do you seem to realise you’re allowed to vote. It was the same with Bertie: “Ah, look at him. What a character! Bit clueless, but sure, what can you do?”. Irish people need to stand up and be counted when it comes to voting and law; the government seems intent on passing laws that make no sense and are not in any way influenced by fact (not that any other country is immune to that, of course, but that doesn’t make it any less relevant here). The blasphemy laws. The pointless banning of things like magic mushrooms because one guy fell off a balcony. Stealing money from old people in nursing homes. Bailing out banks and letting citizens starve. Cutting the health service budget in a country that has practically no health service as it is.
I have also encountered racism here, and I am white (not that being white should make me immune, but it goes to show that often the racism extends to all non-nationals). You know, another form of racism is telling people “If you don’t like it, go back to your own country.” Non-nationals aren’t demanding public recognition of their obscure esoteric religious traditions, they aren’t demanding that everyone wears a burka. They’re just making suggestions about things that could stand to be improved. The Irish government does love to copy other country’s ideas and use them for their own gain (TV license, anyone?) so why not have a few foreign ideas that benefit the people, too? Come on guys, realise your power! Take a couple of tips from the French, they sure know how to topple an immoral regime.
Just remember, simply because someone is foreign it doesn’t mean all their suggestions or complaints are automatically invalid. I’m all for cultural diversity AND the retention of a country’s original culture; there’s no reason that those have to be mutually exclusive. Compromises can be reached and we can all live relatively harmoniously, except for all the stabbing and gangland murders.
Oh, and by the way, previous poster?
“Good moral Christian values? Yes!”
That is a nonsensical statement when applied to immigrants of various/no religions entering the country. Good Christian values mean nothing to a Muslim, or a Sikh, and can be a real turn-off for an atheist too. Anyway, you can’t define an entire country with a statement like that – not everyone has the same values. Not that I disagree with the fact that Ireland has its good points, but a few of your statements are too general to be true in any sense. Also, don’t you think that your “Immigrants being welcomed and supported by Irish? YES!” statement would sound more convincing coming from an immigrant who had received such treatment? Seems to me a lot of the immigrants here see that very differently.
I live in Ireland, and I hate living here. But this kid is just stupid.
He clearly doesn’t know what he’s talking about.
The Africans fought racism for years, they know how it feels, so who are they and this child, to say that he hates a mass population because of some refugee Africans, that should have stayed in its own country anyway.
Maybe Africans should stop having so many 100’s of children, and they wouldn’t have to squish each other against the windows of asylums.
And if I here you say “Ireland,” one more time, I think I’ll choke on my own saliva.
Go stop being useless and try doing better in school.
OK let me set the record straight….I’m a U.S citizen living in Dublin. First off all the majority of the Irish People are quite nice and friendly!…Off course there are also lower class Irish people living over here, as well as in many other countries…..Just stay away from the lower class population and you will be fine, and try to avoid them in public places……as long if you follow these rules, you should enjoy life where ever you are in the world!
this is what happens when your bored ****less cos ramadan is on outside and theres **** all to do,you fall onto a website like this, ive been travelling the world 3yrs now and whenever anyone presumes me to be english its always the same, they are pig ignorant until i tell them im from ireland and theyre attitude changes completly, they love the irish, the world hates the english, ive even met a good few english who hate the english.
whats worse than being raped?
being english
hahahahahahahahahhahahahahahahahahahah
god im bored…..
In my experience expatriot Irish people tend to have somewhat xenophobic views. Hatred of outsiders seems to come easily to them, and it gets boring after a while.
Ha – steer clear of the ‘lower class’? Yeah! the whole country is lower class – half of them have posh accents and plenty of borrowed cash and are supposed to be middle class! The universities are an international joke. Virtually the whole country was created using EU subsidies and credit and now that it’s dried up we’ll be back to ‘Angelas ashes’- style savagery i.e. children getting raped with state consent and general bigotry, drunkeness and ignorance. I’m emigrating ASAP.
Hey Sean, regarding good Christian values; the vast majority are Christian and practice the common good. I’m sure immigrants who are Muslim etc… know we are all Catholic and won’t be surprised by that fact if they move here.
Dave J. There is no class system in Ireland, we are all Irish citizens equal and protected by our democratic laws and constitution. There is a class system in the UK though for historical reasons if that’s what you were thinking of.
Our universities are well renowned throughout the academic world. For such a small island we are doing pretty good. Fees will be introduced in a system similar to Australia. We have one of the highest rates of college attendance in Europe. Almost everyone goes to college here after school. I know from talking to friends in England, many don’t attend college there which is completely alien to me as an Irish citizen.
We are contributing to the new EU countries and with our fisheries etc… we have actually given 10 times more back to the EU than we have ever taken in.
I think you need to open your eyes and perhaps travel around Ireland before you can say such a thing.
We are a small Island, a new nation and for such a small nation we have achieved so much. When was the last time you heard of similar smaller nations with such achievements and popularity among others? You do realise how small our country is and we have just over 4 and half million people. Give us a break dude!! HAHA
It’s unfortunate, but it seems to me that Ireland is a simple, backward, beautiful, country, with ’small person syndrome’, that has come to believe it’s own publicity. The reality is that the country is in really serious trouble now (in comparison with others) and, without drastic action, it will only get worse. It has no natural wealth in resources, it has no industrial base or manufacturing industries, it has a limited agricultural potential and is not even capable of feeding it’s own population. Greed and stupidity have devasted any tourist potential for a long long time to come. It is lead by pretentious, arrogant but ignorant and manipulated political puppets. The general population are no better or worse than in any other ‘one trick pony’ country – most work hard, keep their heads down and naively leave everything else to the deluded, lazy, self-opinionated, self-seeking, frequently corrupt mafia-like families that feed the stagnant pool of local councillors, ‘professionals’, politicians and religious ‘representatives’. Add to that the woefully bloated, blind, self satisfied/obsessed and inefficient ‘public sector’ and you’ve got the makings of a total catastrophe – and pretty much any ‘Third World Country’ you can think of!
Hey more pity in hate. Great generalisations there! You’ve a great imagination. You make it sound like we’re living in the Godfather…according to friends in business, things are already picking up economy wise. Remember the ‘Celtic tiger’? How did that happen with all the lack of natural resources blah blah blah….hmmm…… I guess you’ll be mega pissed off when the economy is back on track. I doubt any country can boast about a perfect public sector or even a perfect political set up……but we’re democratic so we’ll be just fine!
This was a global recession by the way…not just Ireland.
More pity….can I present you with a challenge? Name ten things that is good about Ireland! Go on I dare you!
Ian K – do you actually WORK for a living, do you just turn up for a ’safe’ job’ or are you a ’student’? Do you have a home to pay for, a family to feed and educate, or responsibility to employees or fellow workers? Try to run a business here, get yourself elected to public office or simply seek answers to uncomfortable or awkward questions without the ‘right’ connections and you will experience the reality.
As for naming ten good things about Ireland SPECIFICALLY? No, I can’t. People are the same everywhere, products of their circumstances, and all countries, in turn, are subject to their unique circumstances. Good and bad doesn’t come into it. I am pleased that you are just fine.Sweet dreams but don’t lay in to long.
More pity… now you’ve started using assumptions aswell as generalisations. Congratulations! All the above assumptions are wrong about me. As regards my job I work in orthodontics. Do you know anything about that field? What do you work at yourself that has you so unhappy with life and the country you live in? Be positive! You can’t name 10 things because you sound depressed. I don’t think you could name 10 positive things about anything. Lighten up, cheer up and see difficulties as challenges. You will not change people. Change yourself first and work with people rather than against them….by the way this applies to business aswell as life. Just heard today from friends in government too things are picking up already, so not just business folks saying this. What a great country we have! Resilient and hardworking our democratic and Christian values
Say what you like about Ireland. We put manners on the Brits.
Are there any English left in England. I don’t think so. Not unless you all have to wear burkas,.LOL
The English women love Irish ****. They can’t get enough of it. They reckon 32% of men in England are raising someone elses kid
Your own queen doesn’t give a **** for ya, but keep kissing her arse. She’s the top dog in the country and even she can’t raise a decent family. Jeremy Kyle has his work cut out with you ratbastards. LOL
Listen, you ****in YANKS (Sorry, I meant WANKS…), and you British bastards – the ONLY ****in two things wrong with Ireland are:
1.) The British bastards left in the north who are afraid to go home (probably cant afford the ticket), and
2.) The Irish ****in government.
Both of the above should be burned out. That will be the end of the recession.
As you yanks say,….. PERIOD!
ye ****s!
fair enough if your from ireland you can slate it a bit its not all roses but if you have traveled the world its a dame site better than most places,
why dont ye come to eire ( thats ireland to ye ****ing dopes) and say some of yer bull**** to any decent irish man or women and you will get what you deserve (hopefully a slow painfull death because if it was me no joke i would kill you straight out and thats the truth) how dare ye put down an entire race of people, we helped out more countrys in the world than most and we also been through a whole lot more than other countrys look in to our history and not just from the british side, so i can only figure that ye must be trying to make your own sorry selfs feel better siting in front of your pc thinking your the king of the world try getting up and looking in the mirror and think what do people truly think about me ask yourself are you all that? and if you cant be bothered to do that why dont you and your mothers your fathers your family and your friends all **** off and try and enjoy your incest aids infected child molesting lifes ye ****ing inbreeds!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
hi, my partner is English and is very nice person, however I have been going over and back to England for a number of years, her parents are thick ignorant English pigs, they think they are upper class, anyone that is not working are scumbags in their eyes, they talk about other people all the time and give out over nothing, they think they funny all the time too, My obsevation is the English think there tougher and smarter than any other race in the world, my next door neighbour is from England he is a ****ing pussy racist pig, I had a fight with a ex British army **** a few months ago I was been nice and friendly, he got angry as he thinks his tough being in the British army, I said to him what are you going to do hit me, he did, I leathered the head off him one slap is all he got me with , the snake hit me when I was ent looking, I let him up after giving him a few and he ran down the road, then told a load of lies to his misses which is my partners sister, I now will never go back to England again they are a bunch of pigs, I can’t believe how nice, friendly and caring people we are in Ireland behind it all.
HI
Im irish, and i work full time in the tourist industry in thailand,
The worst tourists we ever get are from england, they are always in trouble.
I love it when i see them being hauled by the cops of to the **** house, where they cry like babys.
It is people like you who are ruining life for the rest of us.
And where are the parents of that child on the clip on You Tube. I hope I am not around when he grows up.He is full of hate. I will not look at the rest.
I am so annoyed just now because I feel abandoned by everything that is good. At 3am this morning two young louts slashed the tyres of mine and a neighbour’s car and I couldn’t do anything about it. They were shouting and jeering in this very quiet area, and would have known they would awaken the residents. I heard the swishing noise which was the air escaping from the tyres and looked out the window. They just turned and stared at me and walked calmly on. If I had called the Guards they might have called up but what was the point the two vandals were long gone. I will however report it for the books.
I googled looking for some advice and this site happened to be on one of the pages. I was feeling bad about Ireland before I read the posts on here but now I feel like screaming at the lot of you.
Let me tell you that if it wasn’t for England my father would not have been able to provide for my mother and me in the ’40s. He couldn’t get work here so went to England and helped build the landing strips there. And he had to see the signs …No blacks, dogs, or Irish…when he went looking for somewhere to live. He did find a place and made friends with many good English people. My point being that there are good and bad in every race. Both of my grandfathers fought under the flag of England during the first world war which was the way back then.
Awful things happened in the past but we have to move on or we are wasting our tiny lives. I had a few words with a man some years ago when England was playing for the world cup. Ireland was out of it. I said I was going to watch the match and hoped England would win and he said “You aren’t going to watch that are you” I said I was and why wouldn’t he, and he said “The tans shot at my grandmother” I said but the tans aren’t playing. Then I told him that a man running from the tans ran into my grandmothers house looking for shelter. He said ‘did she turn him in’ and I said no she hid him and the gun he was carrying and faced the tans….but I was going to watch the match.
There are some really rotten apples here and that always was the case. The difference is that now the lot of them are out of their minds on drugs and would put a knife in you as soon as look at you.It used to be that you could leave the door unlocked at night and the key was always left in the door. If I was at a local dance and wanted to leave before it was over I would just walk home, and the ballroom was outside the town on a lonely road…today I wouldn’t leave the house after dark, and I live in the centre of town.
I don’t know what has happened but I think it all started when the teachers weren’t allowed to slap. We got a slap if we didn’t behave and it did no harm at all. Now the brats have the run of the schools terrorising the teachers and the students who want to study, and boast of their rights. Then there are the older crowd who spoil it for all the other young crowd who just want to enjoy a night out. It seems to be the thing to carry a knife and the Guards do bugger all about it. And then you have the stupid half-witted morans who wander around when all good people are asleep and do damage like the dross who were by my house earlier. You get that in every country in the world. I read one piece in The Irish Times dated Oct7 2009 where a young man was stabbed to death at a party and when the murderer was sentenced he said he didn’t bring the knife to kill it was for slashing tyres!!! the judge didn’t even comment on that statement!!! He said he was a decent fellow and suspended some of his sentence. I hope that judge get his tyres slashed nonstop for the rest of his useless life.Go kill someone and be told you are decent…for the love of God what is life coming to.The Irish Examiner has the council in Dublin going to talk to druggies who are terrorising the people living in some flats there because the Guards are watching them, they are going to say deal all you want but leave the people alone and let them carry on with their lives…What kind of law is that.
There are places in every country where you go at your own risk but to come here to Ireland to live and have the neck to spout your hatred for the country and the people living here is a step too far. How dare you. You all flocked here when things were on the up and the Celtic Tiger was a cub and I have it for a fact that a lot of our new residents were given every help we could offer, so much so that it was told to me that one foreign lady who couldn’t get the baby buggy onto a bus in Dublin just abandoned it and said she would get another one tomorrow from welfare…isn’t that a slap in the face for the people who help her. She was letting the rest of her country people down She was black and any other black people, from whatever country, would have been judged unjustly by many for her actions. That is the way things went. Just because she was black didn’t make her a nice person and I will not pretend people are ok if they do wrong. If someone does something wrong it doesn’t matter what colour or creed they are I will speak out.
Butlins Holiday Camp was closed to everyone and turned into a refugee centre. It was an afordable holiday resort for many and a place to take day trips to and also used for Summer Games for children from all over the country…but feck everyone else just hand it over to the refugees. Then the same refugees did nothing but complain about being bored and the food wasn’t the same as they got at home.another slap in the face.
Then you had the white foreigners who were all lumped in as Polish whether they were or not. Some gangster employers hired some of them and paid them way below the standard wage but when it became known to the other workers and the people of Ireland all hell broke loose and everyone stood up for the foreigners. The employers were reported and the employees were repaid what was owed to them…Shift forward to the present day…Irish who went to Poland lately were met with signs ..No Irish…when they went to look for jobs. How nice was that. I could say I hate Poland but I know the people who put such signs up are not speaking for all of the people in Poland.
And yes Ireland is a catholic country. If you want to live here practice your own religion or none. Nobody cares, but have respect for my country and my beliefs as I have when I visit other countrys with a different dress code customs etc.We have to do as they do so do not even think of trying to change my way of life to yours just because you chose live here.Political Correctness is a load of crap. I am not to mention black in case I offend a person with black skin. Some songs are not PC because black is in them. Well I could object to White Christmas because I am white such loonacy. As for not being allowed to wear a cross at work …I have worn a cross all my life and nobody will tell me not to wear it. The crib at Christmas was offending someone so that was frowned upon and Happy Christmas was being changed to Happy Holiday…Who the hell are these people whom everyone is bending backwards to please and what hold have they over us.If they dont like our customs then they should go back to where they came from.I am fed up coming last here and getting nothing but insults for my trouble…even the chaple in my old school was given over to new foreign people. Ireland has changed a lot. A lot of the young in charge now are different to the people of Ireland in the past. A lot of them are selfish and greedy and I think they outnumber the decent young people. I know it wasn’t all good but the baby has been thrown out with the bath water. Enough is enough.I am finished being an idiot and doing everything I can to help. To hell with it.
As I said before there are good and bad in every race. Have a bit of respect. If you don’t like Ireland and the Irish then leave but do not try and turn it into another country. We would be shot or beheaded if we did that in some of your countrys. You wouldnt get your government acting like eejets and doing as we said.Dress as we dress or leave. The Irish on the whole welcome foreigners with open arms and they still travel to do good deeds even though we have homeless people here the Irish go and build homes and schools abroad. And look at Africa…people who were born there are being murdered and run off their property when it is their life’s work. Mad. No such thing as coming to an agreement …Oh no, just, gimmy gimmy gimmy.
I always wanted to live in England. The England you see on film with the lovely villages, but the IRA spoiled that dream as I felt sure the English people wouldn’t accept me because of all the horror the IRA caused. We couldn’t speak up against them for fear of reprisal from the cowards. Soldiers my arse. A soldier doesn’t hide his face and plant bombs in busy streets full of innocent people. Thought it was bad enough years ago when some of the travelers were sneaking about robbing. We are not allowed to say anything about them either. I know it was only a few did the robbing and the rest are good people but it is annoying when they complain about being hard done by. They want everything handed to them and don’t want to pay like the rest of us have to. The PAYE workers are carrying the whole country on their backs. Not to mention the crowd in government. But the people deserve the government they elect and serves them right. Talk about cosa nostra.
Hate all you like but after seeing this site I couldn’t care less about any of you and I intent to pass the link to everyone so they will be aware of how we are though of.
What is wrong with most of you? First of all to the idiot who made this site what have the Irish people ever done to you? And the rest of the people who hate Ireland who ate you? I’m guessing most of you are english and support the bnp. Ireland is a great country and to those of you saying we make nothing you are dumb as anything! We are one of the largest producers of software in the world and a huge manafacturer of computers in Europe. We didn’t fail beating the English you idiots!! How do you think we have our own government and police force??
First of all that kid in the video is a complete idiot! He lives in Ireland and he hates it when if he went back to his homeland somewhere in Africa he would be starving so he is just a spoiled moron.
Secondly most of you here who hate Ireland at probably British an of thos Brits probably support the bnp.
To whoever said Ireland failed miserably against england take a look at a map and see that we are NOT part of the uk.
And finaly those people living here in Ireland and who hate have no lives and nothing to offer anyone! You probably have a crummy job because your lazy and come here to blame ireland instead of yourselves
This child diserves a slap. What kind of person creates a video like this? I love being Irish, in fact I wouldn’t live in any other country. Everyone on here showing disrespect to us can take a long walk off a short peer. You English, stupid bunch of prods should all be hung and treated the way you treated us. Yes I am racist but that is because of what I know from our history. I hate English, there said and done.
A lot of the people ranting and raving on here too need to learn how tonspell and learn how to speak properly i.e. The English bastards. We would love to speak Irish as our first language but ye ducked us over on that too.
English are hated all over the world, you are a disgusting, ugly, ignorant bunch of simpletons who diserve nothing more than a right good pucking. I hope your queen dies soon the miserable old hag
**** ye all your all a bunch of eejits , clearly none of ye know anything about Ireland because there’s nothing wrong with being Irish or being proud about it , I live in Dublin and and I probably live further away from a farm than the rest of yous . And ****in hell Britain and the USA consume way more alcohol than Irish people fact . And the little kid in this video is a faggit. Take your ****ing racism and blow it out your ass
You’re all racist biggots. You have absolutely no idea what you’re talking about at all. By your logic it would be perfectly fine for me to say all english people have bad teeth, live on crisps, have hairy ugly women, effeminate cross dressing men and enjoy licking american arse. But being mature as I am (compared to you lot anyway) I am able to identify the difference between stereotyping and reality.
The irish people who hate Ireland are the lazy arseholes who’ve been on the dole, too lazy to work leeching off society and pissing their lives away. If you hate it so much f*ck off somewhere else, no one is making you stay.
You think all irish people are alcoholics and Ireland is a ****hole? Go have a good look at the legatum prosperity index 2009 and come back and say that, I’ll even give you “geniuses” a link.
I am Irish. i live in Ireland. I hate the ****ing place and the ****ing people. We are the greediest, most-selfish, self-indulgent, self-important race in earth. You only get anywhere in Ireland by being in with the ignorant ****s who run the place (Government, banks, big business and unions) or by bullying you way through the few decent people.
I have been all over Europe and North America and the people are much friendlier there. We treat the foreign workers here like pure ****.
I would love to leave here but its difficult to get work abroad now.
I’m Irish born and bred and hate the place. Bull****ters:true, filthy:true (but not as grubby as england or english women), greedy:true, two-faced:true, deluded:true, proud to be alcoholics:true, cod democracy:true, warped self-image and gross misunderstanding of the fact that the celts never came here:true. All this and a girlfriend who told me she was on the pill but wasn’t so now I can’t leave and live somewhere that’s, mmmmmmmm what’s the word?, grown-up!
So I’m off to the pub now for some “craic” and hearty conversation with slightly unrefined yet quaint characters while we drink the over-priced piss that is made by a company that is allowed to operate as an aggressive monopoly.Come to Ireland!-it’s ****!
Omg ! wat is this ****e ..
i live in ireland and its unreal
ireland is 1 of the safest friendlyest places in the world
yeed want to calm down now lads and i dont no what this crap bout us nt speaking irish cause the english peoples fault .. i lyk english people but some of the ****e some of yae are coming out with ! hah
and yer giving out cuase we have a bit of crac .. ?
wel thats a bit sad now that yer picking on having fun .. and the wewather witch were i live is moslty sunny
why do you think england conquered ireland? To make the country better than it was. But irish people didnt want to be ruled by england so they chose to fight.. erm bad move i think.. you went against the british empire and failed miserably. Now you wonder why irish people hate england so much its because we killed all your men simply because you went against ours for the better of ireland…
Failed Miserably, independence suggests to me otherwise, Michael Collins had the “might” of the british empire on its knees. Try visiting, and you’ll see your misinformed, backward views are untrue.
I was born and bred in Ireland. I like to keep a balanced view on my country – we are no better or worse than anyone else. Many of our systems are crap. Many people are bad; many are good, like anywhere else. I now live in the UK and see a lot that’s wrong there too.. however, I have to take the good with the bad and work hard and make my life. In plain simple English, there are good and bad people everywhere; we need to be balanced. It is up to each person to make our lives work for ourselves rather than taking the cowards’ way out by not achieving anything and blaming and hating on others (whether they be Irish, Enlish, Black, Oriental, Arab, Jew, whatever). Otherwise they will just end up as bitter failures.
Anyone who emigrates to another country and then hates that other person is sick in the head and is practising evil. The Bible says that each one of us will give account to God for every idle word that we utter.
So, consider what’s in your heart before you spray your hatred over everyone.
at least ireland didnt invade & make another country suffer like ur precious england, i like ur little video, do the world a favor, make sum friends, get a girlfriend & a life, oh & im irish & i hardly ever drink
I hate Ireland more then anything in this world. Cause it feels like your stuck in a fish bowl wasting your ****ing life. So many ****s that kisses are asses because of what I reppresented is kind ****ing sad.
I am Irish, I’m not proud of it and I don’t see the point of being proud of our own nations. I didn’t choose to be Irish.
Joey, I totally agree with you, I am Irish also and absolutely hate the place – the government, the attitude, the lack of culture, the insularity, only for close friends and family would be long gone, and am still considering it. I speak from a little experience as I was based abroad for four years, travelling the world due to the nature of my work. Ireland is fine for a wee jig and a pint of the black stuff and for some ‘fake friendliness’ as a tourist in the short term, but try living here and you will find that a substantial cohort of Irish society is superficial, two-faced, obsessed with drinking and GAAAAHHHH and resentful of any measure of success in its peers while not bothering to get up off it’s lazy ass to try to achieve any measure of its own success. I am aware that I am generalising here, but I am speaking about a major cohort that I have observed in comparison to the representation of same in other countries, some Irish people are sound.
The Irish economy (although in dire straits currently) is based on hi-tech industries which are there for it’s highly educated and young workforce. The economy is slightly more than cow pats and farmers. The Economist magazine said that Ireland was the best country to live in the world in 2007. The GDP per capita is the 4th highest in the world. As for those that call teh Irish thick – this is a proposterous accusation made from a position of ignorance. I never heard another intelligent person label an entire race as thick!
The Irish are not the biggest drinkers even in Europe, and wouldn’t claim to be. They have just invented some of the most famous beveridges (Guinness, Magners, Murphys and yes Whisky was invented there too).
Irish history and culture is a very rich one, one of the most fascinating in the World. Few realise but it was as a direct result of some stirling work done by Irish monks restoring religious artifacts on the Skellig Isles that a Christian and English speaking world still exists, let alone dominates. Ireland has contributed more to the literary arts than arguably any other country in the world (per capita). I suspect many of the contributors to this site probably haven’t read Joyce’s Ulysses, nor any Heaney, Bernard Shaw, Keats, Wilde, Bram Stoker.
For those historians amongst us, it may interest you to know that despite being the British empires smallest adversary, Ireland is the only country to have ever forced the British forces to retreat via force. South Africans can lay claim to this, but actually this was more of a political agreement. The ROmans too, looked at Ireland but though it far too difficult to tackle given the petit war lod nature of the place. The English and the Irish actually get on very well (I am Anglo-Irish and live in England). In general decent English people look fondly on the Irish and the Irish believe it or not have very few grudges against the English. This can be seen by the fact that more English people celebrate St Patricks, than St George’s day.
I would be interested to know how many of those posting these racist comments have actually been to the Emerald Isle. If you cannot find a friendly scholar, nor an enchanting moment, or a breath taking view in Ireland than you may as well not be alive!

This is possibly the most funniest site ive ever been on seeing as ALL of you english who say those bad things about us **** YOU your all a bunch of greedy little knackers plus your country is pretty much a joke where you see 15 year old sleeze bags on every corner of the streets so i wouldn’t even dream of complaining about us.And yes i agree i would love to have our irish native language back can’t belive we got ****ed over by the english they are truley snakes!
You gotta laugh at all these British Muslim and Black kids/teenagers banging on about racism in the UK and Ireland. I’d love to see whether you’d have the £200 trainers, iphone and the EDUCATION (which a lot of the time is wasted) that the UK and Ireland offer you, in the countries of your Grandparents birth. I am not one bit racist but Black and Muslims in the US, Europe and UK love playing the racism card. Wonder how I, a fair haired, blue eyed white boy would be treated in Ghana or Nigeria. Im sure i wouldn’t attract a single dirty look or comment….bollix. You think I could walk the street at nights in Senegal or Sierra Leone? Honestly how many years does it take a people to finally help themselves and aim to better themselves without constantly having to blame THEIR failings on an event that happened two hundred years ago. The racism, for the most part, that my generation suffer is negative language or dirty looks. This doesn’t cause you to fail school, or carry a knife. I hate the whole UK hip-hop/Garage culture that black and Muslim kids aspire to. Its brimming with under-achievement, lack of grammar and disrespect towards anyone not wearing a ****ing hoodie, talking like they have a serious condition. Ireland has it’s flaws but we haven’t invaded another country (or eight), we haven’t enforced our culture on another race and the GENERAL standard of life in Ireland is a hell of a lot better than the ****in UK. We have one of the oldest languages in the World, our own unique music, art and dance and a proud history.
Any educated and travelled Irish people know, first hand, the great reputation that we have in most parts of the World. Be proud of it and as I always tell my younger siblings, never do anything abroad to damage the Irish reputation. Always behave with dignity and respect.
In response to the racism that some suffer in Ireland, it sickens me. I hate this as much as you do but I have Black, Eastern European and UK friends who have no complaints. Probably because they are educated, not taking from the government and not perpetuating negative stereotypes. All this ridiculous UK hip hop/Garage (lack of) culture, the clothes, the gold, the one minded aspiration for personal wealth, the bastardisation of the language that all attracts negative attention. Also in Ireland we hate benefit cheats, lazy parents who really on child benefit forever, people who expect handouts…whether your Irish, English, Black, White or whatever.
TO ALL SELF HATING IRISH – Honestly, honestly is it that bad? Do you think maybe you as an individual are possibly a self righteous, egotistical, under nourished, depressive, negative, moaning **** already…regardless of the many failings that Ireland supposedly has enforced on you? You think maybe your blaming your own failings on Irelands evil, corrupt government or its controlling Church. Maybe its all the youths in hoodies…they’re the reason you cant get a girlfriend (or boyfriend), they’re the reason why you haven’t achieved the status you obviously believe you were born to enjoy. Get off your computer, meet a few friends, go watch a show, or a film, take a class, go to the bar, read a book, have a coffee, go for a meal, go enjoy the luxuries that living in the Western World affords you, you ungrateful morons.Go and live in parts of Asia or Africa and see whether you bloom. BUNCH OF IDIOTS.
REAL GOOD **** I did enjoy all these writings about ireland, now I know we are numerous people to hate the country and the people: dirt, mud, rain, drunkards, unfriendly and ill mannered people. As a french national I am happy to say: WE FRENCH ****ED THE IRISH FOOTBALL TEAM. These money suckers are going back to the dogs, good. Never go there, go to England, Wales and Scotland. You will meet civilisation and marvellous landscapes.
First of all, how old is that child? 13? They obviously have grown up not learning the values of respect. Im Irish, and Ive learned these values well. Whats that got to say about the “alcoholic Ireland?” At least people have values and respect.
What people are describing in their paragraphs are all the ignorant dublin skangers who don’t even have respect for themselves. How about visit a traditional Irish city and see how welcoming the locals are. Not Dublin. Everyone in big cities hate tourists. Especially the loud ones who think they’re Irish because their father grandparents dogs owner was half Irish or some rubbish like that -.-
A majority of you are just prejudice. Did you know that we have a ban on buying alcohol after 10 o clock? I, for one, ****ing hate the tradition of how the Irish are all alcoholic poteen drinkers. You’d be surprised how different we are.
Its like saying all Americans are all obese, ignorant people. Which isn’t true.
As for the attack on our economy? Every economy is ****ed right now because of banks, most of them American.
Hello. Im Irish. I love Ireland. Ur all gay. We don’t live in the pub, you need to hear us talking to know what we talk about. Hate us? DONT CARE!
Until you’ve got summit important to say
SHUT UP!!
Does anyon else notice a pattern here? The ****ed, ignorant racists who can’t even speak English properly are the ones calling Irish people ****ed, ignorant racists. I think I can make a very safe sweeping statement here in saying that those people are under-educated layabouts. Get up of your arses and take a real look at the world. Ireland is a fantastic country and I am so proud to be from here. Whenever I go on holidays people are delighted to meet someone Irish. My best friend is working on a cruise ship with an international spa company and she, along with the other Irish staff on board, get more in bokings and receive more in tips than any other nationality of staff. Coincidence? I reckon not. I recently finished a course and among the attendees there was a Nigerian man, a Portugese man and a Lithuanian woman. They all said they had never received any racisim here and each of them had been here many years, holding down jobs, raising their families etc. They each said they prefered Ireland to their respective home countries and that their friends and families said the same. They were each well travelled and said Ireland was the most welcoming place they had been. My ex boyfriend was Czech and the only reason he and his brother and friends went home last Christmas was because they had jobs in construction that finished up. He didn’t want to go home at all. In the 5 other houses beside me there have been at various times Romanian (and no they are not all gypsies), Polish, Luthuanian, Afgani, Czech, Portuguise and more. I am very good friends with all of them still and keep in contact. They always say how they miss Ireland. I don’t need to repeat the positive things the people above have said about Ireland, you will have read them going down through the page anyway. As for the Irish people slating the place, **** off to some other country if it’s so bad here. Otherwise shut the **** up. As for foreign nationals who have moved here, the same applies. You chose to come here over anywhere else in the world so we obviously aren’t that bad. We respect you as long as you respect us. Don’t like us? Then go home. I’m not being particularly racist there, go anywhere else and it’s the same. I think it was the Australian Prime Minister who made a speech along those lines not too long ago.
I’m not for a minute saying Ireland is perfect, we are far from it but show me one place that is perfect. There will always be lay-abouts, drink, drugs, corrupt politicians with their brown envelopes, greedy property developers, bad weather, a farming industry, bad roads, racisim and all the rest but these are universal. All we have to do is make the best of this life. Another safe presumption is that the positive people are happier than the negative ones. Do I really need to explain why? Stop being so immature and get on with it.
**** england . i hate the ****ing accent off english people . i lived in dublin my whole life . it is the best country in the ****ing world even though the countrys run by bastards and gangsters and every corner you turn someone pulls a gun on you but maybe its just in Tallaght things are like that . **** THE ENGLISH ” GUVNORS “
Being an American, I know how it is to be hated by people from other countries, however, also being an American, I know firsthand that stereotypes do not account for everyone.
Sure, sometimes people act like their stereotype, but that’s not everyone. Everywhere you go there will be smart people, jerks, dip****s, & a lot of others in-between. Humans do not = where they live.
So, basically, please, it’d be lovely if these prejudices were given up. All this bickering isn’t going to get anybody anywhere. (Especially with all the pride – don’t be so full of yourself that you must put down another country please.)
I know this is a very basic thing to say, but really, I’ve found that it helps a lot to realize this. People are people, not countries.
Perhaps you will ignore me because I am American, but I hope you do give this a though. Plus, letting go all that prejudice will make you a lot happier. ; ]
No.1 – The Irish government or People did NOT send for you, we never asked for you to come, we would be quite happy ( alot more happy) if you never came.
No. 2- Why did you come in the first place ? If your own country is so good, why leave it ? Answer that.
No.3- If it wasnt for this country’s generousity, you would have starved. some say it would be a crime……………
Why IRELAND NEEDS these people -
No.1 – Who else is going to spread aids in this coutry for us???
No.2- We will always need someone to sit around , do nothing, and sell dope for us !
No.3- We always have the need for the amusement of seeing people walking
around who could fit a train up each nostril !
No.4- We will always need people who get a special centre developed for them in which the live for free, and get paid to live and are forbidden to do work – something that naturally comes to these people anyway.
No.5- Who else is going to produce the odjous amount of sweat these people produce ( and i tell you its not from work !) (a.k.a sweating at the thought of work!!:) )
No.6- Ireland only got interesting when these people arrived- we never had the excitement of gangland killings !:P
No.7-These guys will make the politicians of the future – look how we have been
sending money to their country from the 60’s , and they still are no further forward , they sound suitable for government.
I think by this stage you get my drift, and I can bet alot of you are nodding heads in agreement, its not P.C , but Im just telling it as its seen. There are many more how think like this, but cannot and will not say it.
In times gone by, when we used to send Convicts to Australia, we must have sent them to the world’s second largest continent, because thats all that ever seems to have came back from it ! Convicts & good-for-nothings !
Also, as a sidepoint, notice in these news reports of killings, how the perpetrator and the victim are NOT Irish…..hmmm.
As the dust settles from yesterdays budget, may I appeal to the citizens of this state to wake up and wake up quickly. Is it not now abundantly clear that since the birth of this “republic” our political classes and in particular Fianna Fail have failed to serve any citizens real interest save the wealthy business classes and the powerful politicians and clergy?
They may at times have hood winked us all, throwing us a few left over morsels of Mullah from the dirty deals that stank out the body politic and the business community. But in the main the political classes have colluded with the business class in this state to enrich the few and yoke the many. Over the years the concept of the public good was prostituted for private gain to leave a country with little public space and few genuinely accessible services (save at high cost). Real opportunities were denied to all other than those in the golden circle. For the rest it was poverty or emigration.
The final act in the destruction of civic society was the celtic tiger. This was no more than a vile pyramid scheme orchestrated by Fianna Fail, the bankers, and the developers. It is telling how the doyen of the age “Bertie” saw the collapse of the scheme coming and like a good crooks skulked away into the night.
The final perversion is revealed in yesterdays budget. It is clear that those who are responsible for bankrupting our state will pay no real price. It is the victims of their avarice, the average hard working citizens of this Island will be made to pay a dreadful and unjust price for generations to come. How much greater is the pain in the callous removal of income for public servants and the unemployed now struggling to rear their families in this wasteland than in the derisory demand of 200 K made on the Irish Billionaires toasting NAMA from the riveria.
What we had yesterday is the stark and brutal culmination of a gradual homage to neoliberal economics over the last 30 years. Ireland has become the latest neoliberal crucible where all but the very wealthy will be abandoned to ravages of a deeply inequitable economic system.
We must all now stand together. We must resist the divide and conquer rhetoric spewed out by all of the mainstream media outlets over the last few years. I call on all public sector workers, private sector workers, unemployed, students, pensioners, and anyone who can see through the smoke and mirrors thrown up by this vile and corrupt state to call time. This current system offers nothing for current or the future generation of Irish citizens.
It is up to all of its citizens to seize back what is rightly theirs a republic which is governed by the people and for the people. We must act now before it is too late.
We have been left in a failed state by the political and business classes. They should be given no more time to drive us all further down the sink. It is time to take this country back from their greasy gombeen grip. Nothing is more important than this.
cWe must put these phoney divisions to one side and unite. There is still wealth in this country and it must be taken by for and corrupt state and begin anew.
Its funny, english people slagging irish culture as if english culture is superior
this is what a tourist does in england to see its culture
1:see big ben (english)
2:see the queens palace (english)
3 have an indian or chinese takaway (because who wants english food)
4 go to an irish pub (because of better atmosphere)
england has no culture only monuments
england is a boring overcrowded slum that resents that the lost its empire, alot of its offical “home islands” and now it looks as if scoland is slipping away
ps. lets see how england does without scotlands oil and gas resources when scotland goes
To all who say everyone in Ireland is rascist I would say you are wrong. It’s not fair being treated like a rascist because of someone else’s actions. If you believe everyone in Ireland is a rascist then this will blinker your view and there is not much hope for you.
On the other hand, Ireland is a ****hole. I hope all the haters read this and stay away. It’s bad enough without you spineless begrudgers.
i wish to retract my comment made as national.
they were borh unfounded and untrue. I wish ireland to be an all embracing nation of unity, love and hope for all. I again wish to apologise for actions of making the comment above on this blog, i have been having severe Schizophrenia mood swings, please i can only offer apologies
As you have rightly pointed out, I am a poorly educated Irish women (it is of course a result of our free universities I am sure)( but only a less civilized nation would see fit to cripple their own youth with lifelong debt, so I’ll settle for my slightly less prestigious FREE Masters degree).
Anyhoo, my overly large tongue and clubbed hands have inhibited my ability to think and type correctly (all probably a symptom of inbreeding. But you more ‘established’ nations and your Royal families would know nothing of that. Oh no) …SO!! I’m going to stick to my natural wily Irish ways and steal someone else’s words to retort to the ignorant, cripplingly unoriginal and evidently oppressed souls on this site…………
“NOTHING IS FUNNIER THAN UNHAPPINESS”…..Samuel Beckett
“THERE IS ONLY ONE THING IN THE WORLD WORSE THAN BEING TALKED ABOUT, AND THAT IS NOT BEING TALKED ABOUT.”…….Oscar Wilde
And, finally;
“EVERY ACTION OF OUR LIVES TOUCHES ON SOME CHORD THAT WILL VIBRATE IN ETERNITY.”
- Sean O’Casey
(You may recognize that last one as being rewritten into the Gladiator movie speech when Russell Crowe leads his men into battle) ……See the stuff we wrote about, from our thick, hungry, crazed souls, resonates to the struggle of EVERYONE who faced adversity, tyranny and greed against oppressive rule.
Even your ‘everyman’ British musical ‘My Fair Lady’ was written by Irishman,George Bernard Shaw.
Finally, I absolutely rejoice that this website exists. Thank you for your comments on the REPUBLIC of IRELAND. …the last most westerly frontier that the Roman Empire couldn’t conquer .and the British Empire couldn’t keep. Along with its other THRIVING commonwealth dominions such as Sierra Leon and Malawi…. (My countryfolk, sometimes it pays to be hated)
This web site is disgusting. I am Irish and, while it is not a perfect country by any means, I am proud to be Irish as anyone should be of their owbn nationality.Any racist could set up a similar web site and attract similarly racist hateful comments from a minority of people who have negative things to say. Put any country at the end of http://www.ihate……..com and you will attract similar comments.I wont comment on any previous remarks on this site as it is pointless. However, whoever set up this web site should be really ashamed of themselves and remove it.
When all you “homies” or ****s or ****s or whatever ur calling yourself are sitting in harlem or the bronx with your jeans around your ankles and underwear at your nipples. Who made the bottle of whiskey your holding in your hand.
ps. If i want to change being irish i can change my voice. You will always be a ****!!!

From a true at heart Irish man… We love to hear all the comments good or bad about our land… We are definitely used to being scorned and everything else that has been thrown at us since the beginning of time… This is what makes us strong and makes it easy for us to just turn around and brush it of to one side… Crack a joke about it and then invite all you people who hate us to come to Ireland and have a laugh with us… We don’t begrudge you, we’ll open our arms for you.. Open our door’s to you…
Ha Ireland…..biggest *****hole of a country.people are such ****s there and they know nothing but where the pub and the knife is.they are a bunch of waisters nd the place is full of KNACKERS and scum! I’m disgusted with the place nd stupid Irish(who know nothing) come on here nd say it’s a good country…? Like wats wrong with them.just stick to potatos.I was on the ground cheering when France scored that goal and knocked u *****es out.please please god the Brits will invade them again nd wipe them out.**** Ireland!!!!
I have to say i do like Ireland but don’t understand it. They all support English football teams and go shopping across the Irish border to the UK because its cheaper. They all go to the UK to buy cars and every child has a football top eg… Man utd , Liverpool , Arsenal etc…. but yet they hate the same players when they play for England.
The weather is a bit of a damper but apart from that it’s an ok place and the beer is better than at home.
where do i start? the most culturally homogenous craphole ive visited. where even the most educated people, generally, have no real understanding of life beyond thier own county borders.yet they behave as if everyone should have total understanding of thier, history, language, humour, and habits. even the way that they try to be understanding, by attempting to associate with blacks and other refugees is the most racist, patronising, misinformed thing ive ever seen. there are a few goods ones but a decent honest irishperson is hard to find. they detest alot of western foreigners, as products of british colonialism. (like themselves) yet seem totally unawares that the irish were, quite often, at the forefront of the most racist, militaristic, arrogant colonialism in the new world. to sum up; vile and backward says it all. best avoided for a more cultured area of europe…. say…? kosovo! which brings me to the most curious thing. the catholic/ protestant b-s which is probably the most interesting and perplexing question about the boghole that is ireland. slight differences in politics and religion that the rest of the civilised world gave up on decades ago (at least). sort your ****ty prejudiced omniphobic crap out you thick idiots.
at least we have a culture, the only true americans were ran off their land and fed whiskey to keep them quiet in a god forsaken desert.most of your great presidents were of irish decent and did the country proud.your country was physically built by the irish because most of the african americans wouldnt work to warm themselves, they just collect social and sit at home.when it comes to culture and friendlyness ireland and barbados are probably the best in the world if you come with a positive friendly attitude people warm to you and treat you well , if you try to treat people like is done in the states which is mostly judging people its not tolerated here and you will get similar respect.weather i have to agree is bad . and as for davids comments on jan 15 2010 read our history books you might learn something you ignorant person ,you dont have any history of your own unless you want to read about the true american people whom you killed and cast aside so you should entertain yourself by reading about real cultures and not the disney land you live in.
I have to say that I think a lot of the people on this site are narrow minded racist and ignorant. Why bother to stay here if it makes a lot of you unhappy. I admit that not all Irish people are friendly but what nation as a whole are. I think you will find that the answer is none. I hate the fact that there is a stereotype that the Irish as a whole are piss heads. I think you will find if we all where noting would get done. A lot of people seem to forget that we are a small island so all the scumbags are more visible. We are not like some countries where we put all of our poor people and scum out of the way to paint a nice little picture. Dublin is a city like no other I have travelled the world and there was no place like home for me or my partner. Stop taking life so serious and learn our history before you start talking about it you just seem silly. Life is for living not bitching.
What I hate about ireland is that the school’s are dead strict, the irish people misunderstand my english accent they ain’t half as friendly they sound hot tempered the way they speak their accent, the traditional music, the lonely countryside of green fields and farming.
Wow a news report where someone died. Look at America. Look at England. Even worse crime rates. As for the Irish deserving what they got from England. That is pathetic. You need to learn your history. As an Irish American I have gotten to know the real Ireland and they are truly great.
dave jan 16. you dumb ****. you cant claim responsibility for building america and then distance yourself from the ethnic cleansing that happened there. the irish played a significant and willing role in the colonisation of all the new world. it is pathetic to blame the english as is so often the case. i presume they get the blame solely because the british can organise themselves beyond a piss up in a brewery, unlike the irish, which i must add, are the laziest people ive come across.
list of irish achievements: guiness (now british owned)
a few degenerate and sexually perverted authors, which only became popular when the english literate classes took a liking to thier quaint vulgarity.
dave jan16. do you forget the stories of the fomorians and, more importantly, the tuatha de danann. original inhabitants of ireland who were displaced by the gaels or celtic people which still make up most of the modern population of ireland. hopefully they too will be replaced (peacefully) by the hordes of economic migrants, gypsies, refugees, and eastern europeans. who are arriving to your shores from more cultured and civilised parts of the world.
You say that all Irish people are responsible for the acts of others hundreds of years ago. You must really have no life to argue such generalisations. Also, if authors of Irish descent do not entertain you then you should probably stick to your Van Damme movies.
Good luck getting some debate going here as I personally will not be checking for a reply.
why is it that everytime someone bashes a country its always america that gets railed on? (ex….i hate timbuck-too and the answer someone would give is “tell the americans to stay home”
henry wtf i wish ur mum gets raped by a black man and squelz like a fukin pig u bastard i hope all ur family die and u rot in hell u stupid english ****. get a fukin life and stop hating people u dont know, i always stick up for the english when i hear people in ireland complaining about uz but u opened my eyes to how english people really are i cant believe it….i was wrong ur all fukin worthless ****
i jst want to apolagize to english people who stood up for ireland on this site. i saw henrys post and got very angry and im sorry for insulting any other english people who read this.
david, wat the **** are you on about there is more stabings and crimes in our country since those foreign ****s got here dirty litho’s poles and where ever else the ****s are from! the amount of scum from england writing ****e on this website go and get a life you crowd of inbread ****s! you thought you cud cum over here take our country an we blew the **** out of yous yellow bastards now **** off and if ou dont like ireland stay the **** out of it!
petey
its called irony, but you knew that didint you after all the only thing the irish can really praise themselves on is their wit and mastery of language. i dont hate the english, they’re just ****s.
surely people from your country can appreciate the gypo ways all those immigrants are bringing to eire. the phrase “blacks of europe” comes to mind as it was so racistly described in one of your delightful- (look im poor but iam happy and can do stuff)- films. committments i believe it was called.
no, im not from england, just a place which has been, like your country, enslaved by a far worse colonial power- corperate america. if there are any americans still wondering why they are so hated please watch zietgeist addendum on google video and maybe then -america freedom to facism.
and lets see who the enemy really is.
im from ireland, i dont drink, united states has one of the biggest gangs culture in the world, they kill people for being in the ‘hood’ as the call it, also i like england have nothing against it, in fact i want to join the british army, but who’s have a far bigger drug gang problem than us, 1995 ireland vs england in landstown road, we scored then use started a riot,
This is a pretty disgusting forum people. As a complete outsider and a well travelled person i can tell you rudeness, racism and biggotry exist in every country in this world.
i am sick and tired all this hatred that ireland has for england and vice versa, why cant the past be left in the past. both countries are moving forward and in the 21st century we should be getting along and i mean everyone, e.g the palastinians and jews the cathoics and protestants the muslims they should try and get on with everyone and stop trying to change us and kill us if they cant change us. all i want is to stop seeing in the news more killing because of our religon or race. if the english dont like it in ireland get out, if the irish dont like it in england get out but for gods sake stop slagging each other off and get a fecking life and try and get on with your neighbours
Ha. What a ridiculous forum. Of COURSE there is racism in Ireland, but, my god, does no-one realise that there is racism in EVERY country in the world?
And, people who claim that Ireland has ****ty culture, do you not realise that Ireland has made a completely inproportional contribution to the art, and that a whole bunch of your “British” writers are, in fact, Irish?
So, to conclude, Póg mo thóin! I’d love to say more as Gaelige, but, due to you amadáins who invaded our country, and many, many others, raping us of our culture and heritage, most peoples Irish is pretty limited..
Oh, and isn’t it quite funny that all the Irish people on here seem to have a much better grasp on the English language than any of the English themselves? Slán, Eoin
eion
yes there is racism all over the world but i believe what people are trying to say is that it is particularly insidious in ireland. this has certainly been my experience and that of people i have spoken to from many nations.
irish writers did achieve a sort of novelty status in the english speaking world i wouldnt class there works as great pieces of art. and yes they were british as you all were, and happy to colonise the world on the back of the british empire. maybe that is why there are so many union jack waving people in the film of the royal tour of dublin in the early part of the 20 century. a film which a few years ago was displayed for all to see in the dublin museum. or are we to believe that these thousands of people were forced to participate in the parade by gun wielding invaders. this was before you began to fight each other for the right to control ireland. a war that was won by a group which “restored” your culture in a sort of facist dictatorship which lasted about 80 yrs.
isnt it also funny that the irish phrase, most known in ireland and throughout the world, and most definately, on this site means “kiss my arse”. a testament maybe to the friendly nature of the irish.
and if the irish do have a better grasp of english, well i would consider that a victory.
god save the queen.
The Irish should be grateful that we taught them to speak the finest language in the world instead of that goobly gook they used to twitter on in, but i can understand them being pissed off that we never bothered to teach them how to fight like men.
I am irish and i hate ireland. I just came back from the uk and plan to get out of ireland as soon as i can. I just hate the greed bad service, and narrow minded people. Theres no work in the country, and if your not an alcocholic your in a bit of trouble.
looking forward to getting out of this boring nanny state for good.
I really hate ireland. Its so boring. The service in restaurants etc is terrible. I hate the conservative attitudes. The economic situation is dire, half the country seems to be on the dole, the government is so corrupt, and it does my head in when people say ireland is so beautiful. well why don’t they come and live here and see for themselves. not much good having a beautiful country when youve no work and staring at a mountain all day.
I think ireland is the most boring country one could come and live in, unless your an alco or a druggie.
What is this kid saying? You can control the weather and in the video it says 2 black kids die! TOUGH SHlT! go back home 2 ur home land so n die of starvation…
I don’t hate Ireland – but…
my ex-boyfriend was an Irishman, he left me, betrayed me and maybe I was naive and childish, but he seemed to be a real bastard. And he is. I am Hungarian. I also wanted to do a little experiment about why do Northern and Southern Irish hate each other so much? I don’t understand this strange nation… They are Catholic but they hate each other… Unbelievable.
AND – why on earth do Western Europeans think we are simple peasants in Middle-East Europe? My family welcomed that Irishman with the greatest courtesy and he was like a rabbit, a shy rabbit. My God! I hope there are more generous and straightforward Irishmen in Europe! I would like to see one real good guy!
i also hate ireland but i hate ape ****s even more.go back to the jungle you ****ing ignorant ****.oh no,there’s no fried chicken and watermelon in africa.****ing ****s have never invented anything.scum should be picking cotton on the cornfields.WHITE POWER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Ireland frikken rules!
To everyone who said we are unfriendly.. its probably because your an ass and nobody here liked you.
Ireland has one of the most fascinating cultures and history’s.
To that ****HEAD Henry go **** yourself, you don’t have a clue what your saying and whatever country you belong to should be ashamed to have you there. I pity your mother. Nobody deserves to die or to be treated the way the Irish were considering we help all your foreign ass’s out whenever you need it, probably why our country is gone bust. To that guy SIRGOULDIE, Our men fought like warriors but were slightly out numbered TWAT thats why we lost, go educate yourself before you make comments like that.
To everyone standing up for Ireland its great but don’t be racist back, don’t let yourselves down..
NOBODY in Ireland goes around saying we are the best drinkers, I’m certainly not, its a stupid perception made by ignorant people who dont have a clue what Ireland is really like.
To D.Doyle you hate the Irish because of its untrustworthy service, get a ****ing clue, thats what business is about.
I’m so angry, I have traveled the world and always been told how lovely the Irish are, everywhere. If you dont like it here, dont come, we are far better off without your scabbing off our economy and spreading your hate around…
Ok, everyone is entitled to their own opinion, so heres mind:D Im Irish, proud to be Irish and love the country. Is the government crap, yes, is it the only government thats crap, no! I went to volunteer in Kenya last June and the poverty in the country was ridiculous. Went to Kibera the 2nd biggest slum in the world to see children starving and playing in streets covered in feces. And why, because this rich country keeps the wealth for the powerful and lets the others starve, The orphanage I visited provided shelter, food and education for over 200 kids and could only operate with donations from other country like Ireland. So instead of finding reasons to hate why not find something else to do. England invaded nearly half of the world, the conquistadors killed and tortured people in the name of religion, Margaret Thatcher ordered the violent attacks on Miners trying to get a better working environment and France;s monarchy was dethroned and guiliutened for their treatment of the poor. America waged a war on Iraq killing thousands for oil which the British also backed and partook in! Is Ireland full of alcoholics… no, but it is known as drinking culture even though the British have a far greater problem when it comes to underage drinking etc So does anyone have the right to throw stones, no! Maybe look at yourselves and your own country and try make it better as your glass houses are just as fragile as ours!
All english people are jealous of irish people and how every other nationality likes them and hates the english so thats why they made this site to try get other people to hate ireland…well its not working get over it we are loved your NOT!!!! suck on that you english ****ers
All english people are jealous of irish people and how every other nationality likes them and hates the english so thats why they made this site to try get other people to hate ireland…well its not working get over it we are loved your NOT!!!! suck on that you english ****ers
I hate the way that Irish people think that travelling is going to foreign countries with their mates and spending all their time with Irish people, drinking in Irish pubs.
No I don’t want to see you on Facebook dancing on a pool table in Wagga Wagga. And yes, I reallt think the best thing to do in Cambodia is get pissed and show the locals what great craic ye are.
Wow wow wow,I don’t know how I came across this random page, but hey!I might as well add my opinion, seeing as I am Irish.
I’ve seen some reasonable comments, and then I’ve seen some typicaly lame ones. eg “The Irish are the Dumbest, ugliest and most inbread nation on the Earth.
Their country is a sad pathetic state that has a failed economy”
This is both reasonable and unlogical.
To be honest,I am from the south of Ireland and I dispise Dublin, simply because they are a bunch of unfriendly ****heads. But we can’t generalise can we. The thing about some fools is that they put all the eggs into one basket. And for the record,I love my country and do not hate nor generalise where all of the ‘haters’ come from. It is people who make silly rash opinions filled with negativity who give their own nationality a bad name. In other words,it makes people hate them. Hate..such a strong word. And how pathetic it is that people come on here with the internet hiding their faces giving their brutish opinons. I bet anyone here who hates Ireland, and its ‘ugly’ people wouldnt have the ****ing BALLS to say it to their faces…I say ‘their faces’ for the simple fact I am not an ‘ugly’ Irish person. Now boys and girls,I think I’ve given ye a good ****ing lesson about how ****ing stupid everyone can be etc. Now go live yer ****ing lives insetad of typing down yer extremely terrible opinions.
SLAN fom a PROUD IRISH woman in BEAUTIFUL Cork.
There are some valid points in what people are saying.
The “Celtic Tiger”, whilst it brought great things to Ireland, it also brought arrogance, lack of ethics, we lost our good reputation for being hard workers and a nation of highely educated and pragmatic people. We looked for the quick buck etc and we allowed ourselves to forget the basis of why people came in droves to Ireland in the first place, more importantly, we seem to forgot what it was like for Irish people all over the world trying to establish themselves in lands hostile towards the Irish.
Now a few pointers to the gob****es who have not got a clue about Ireland or Irish History. Now whilst one could be forgiven for been wrong or ignorant to some matters, this can not be acceptable by certain groups of people ie the The British, who full well know the truth of a number of matters. Thankfully, this idiotic, superior supremist(false one at that) attitude that would not be stranger in Punch cartoon sketches.
One thing that always annoys us Irish is when the English see an Irish person do well in the world, they nearly always try to declare him or her as one of their own yet when they pass them off as Irish(particuarily in the world of sport where that person is from the 6 counties yet has clearly and publicly made clear that he or she recognises themselves as Irish and hold a passport)
First, Henry, one of the first contributors. You say St Patrick was English. No he was not. He was Welsh. Was there even such thing as English/Welsh back then? Next he says Britian gave us the green flag. That is ridiculously wrong! Blue is normally the colour or St Patrick’s Blue! The Green arose and was made popular from the United Irishmen period
To Peter Long, something tells me your whiney superemist attitude was vocal once or twice, no wonder you did not get on well with the locals. By they way, Mancherster is not called dirty old town for nothing, and Glasgow and most of Wales is not a barrel of laughs. Sorry to see your experience effected all the same
Now to the gob****e, **** Ireland, who said Britian came to invade to make us better. What utter ****e. First off, intitially, it was an IRISH Provincial King (Dermot Mac Diarmuida) who INVITED the first batch of NORMANS into Ireland to help him win over land. Secondly, its a well know fact all around Germany, Rome, Iona in Scotland and many places in France and Beligum, that the Irish was one of the centres of Education threw the building of monasteries and general spreading of faith during the 400-500ish AD. Records, Scrolls etc and tombs in Ireland prove all this. Newgrange is older than they Prymaids by the way (not bad for backward people eh)You seem to forget that whilst Ireland remained neutral in world war 2, nearly 300,000 men from the south went off to the british or american army and fought for the allies, not to mention around the same amount or more in ww1. On a seperate time line ask experts of your friend Wellignton whom he tought were his best fighting men (here is a hint The Connaught Rangers – who were mostly Irish men) – it certaintly wasn’t the English themself. Ironically, during the 17-18th Century, a vast amount to a majority of foot soliders in the British Army were Irish
Frank Decko thinks the Nazis should have gassed the Irish instead of the Jews. Really? Why would they do that, wouldn’t it be better to stay friendly and hope that we would allow them entry into the state and ease their efforts in invading Britian? or at least, by staying neutral, not help britian?(no doubt you are compeletly ignorant to that part of ww2)Thankfully of course that did not happen..
It’s sad the racism is around, but considering the young lads dialect, I wonder where else would he receive an decent reception as his parents likely did when they came to Ireland pleading asylum whilst mother is heavily pregnant. Not too many will be sympathetic
I wonder how that young boy’s mam got residency in Ireland?? If that you lad feels so strongly he or his sibling could always give back their Irish passport and return to the sunny climes of their origin.
But still, he is here now, shame he sees this this way. No doubt there are idiots in all walks of life who judge someone by their colour. The weather, well, thats life! Wonder does his colour prevent him from free access to medical care and education? The murder level is high, jesus christ and their country of origin is the safest place? ha. By the way that RTE news clip related to a fight between non Irish asylum seekers who were in an asylum centre, its sad, but you can’t blame Ireland for that one.
Hi all you ***k heads you hate Ireland! no one asked you to come here, yes the weather is ***t get over it.As for being unfriendly some of the new members of the EU came here look to under mind us by saying that they would work for less money and when this is what happened they have to bitch about it sad.All you do is scam going into shops in groups to steal what you can scum .I read in a sunday paper that you are so low that you even try to take the food handed out to the homeless and that up room in the shelters even though you are working you are lower that rats.At least you fought for our freedom with no help, not like some of you ****ks.You steal clothes ot of clothe banks another one of your scams try to mug people at bank machines ,and you seldom wash.As for the english (IRELAND 20 ENGLAND 16) The french gabh pog an francach.Nil Snas anseo.
I lived in ni for ten years and didn’t like it one bit. The mentality of sectarianism pervades every level of society and makes life thoroughly unpleasent. I laugh when I hear people make generalisations about England, because tarring whole nations with the same brush just makes you an idiot. As for englands colonial past, if you judge it by today’s standards it’s indefensible, but I’m not going to accept any **** from anybody because some Norman, (at the behest of an Irish king) went to Ireland for financial gain, I didn’t do it, I wasn’t even alive when it was done! And to those Irish people who want to sit on the historical moral high ground and jeer, who was it that slaughtered the native Americans, you guessed it European immigrants, manyof them Irish. Howdoes it feel to know that your countryen reduced a population of 60million to 500,000 in less then a 150 years. I bet it doesn’t feel good does it, but I still wouldn’t give you a hard timeover it, because youwerent even born when it happened. Frankly you just need to get over it and move on.
Ok, now i’m not Irish. im Lithuanian and im in Ireland for the fifth year now. Work and study all the time. I dunno why this site is still up. It should be put down. And the idiot on the video should be kicked out of the country love Ireland , love beautiful Irish girls.. Well weather isn’t good and government actually is crappy.. But hey.. Show me at least one government that wouldn’t be in other words from what I’ve seen here in Ireland i would say Ireland is great country if you would ask most of the Poles,Russians,Lithuanians..whatever , 90 out of 100 would say that Ireland is great place to be.. So all you black asses get a hell out of here )) yes I’m a racist towards black-asses as they are real headache ;D
I love being Irish, and will stand up for any good Irish person which is the vast majority of us against foreigners who try to illus us into not knowing what were talking about. And henry don’t get me started you lesser than average educated silly boy.
JbrayI like drinking also, and I’m English by the way, this means that we have something in common. As I said in my earlier post most of what was said in this post earlier which has been devisive and frankly bollocks. I just hope that people In Ireland can let go of the past in the way that they should, life is too short.
I’m English and proud of it. I’m not going to apologise for anything that was done hundreds of years ago. I will agree with some of the posts made by Irish people, In that to generalise is ignorance. In 1066 Norman invaders conquered england and proceeded to embark on a campaign of rape and murder not seen again until Nazi Germany, so bad infact that William the conquered asked foe absoultion for his crimes against the English on his death bed, but i don’t go around bad mouthing french people from Normandy, why, because it happened a ****ing long time ago. You just have to let the past go, or it will control you.

All they go on about is alcohol, how they are the biggest drinkers in the world – when they aren’t, they are no bigger drinkers than anywhere else. They are so unfrielndly, ive been to dublin three times – not through choice, for work- and they are an unfriendly lot.

“i wud seriously love to see them all dead”
Take a look at these posts.
I am an English man. I live in Braintree, Essex.
May I begin by saying I am disgusted that you call yourself English, you are a disgrace.
Post number 1;
Post number 2;
Please, you will hear that from many places. I have a French friend who once said thoses exact words but instead it was about Belgium.
Post number 3;
Post number 4;
I’m not even going to dignify this.
So before you jump on the bandwagon, saying my country is better, we are more tolerent. Actually ask yourself…is that the truth?

Need I go on?

A post here caught my eye:
“Yes our government sucks but what can you do?”

HAHA

More in pity than hate
Aug 31st, 2009
Ian K.

More in Pity
Sep 2nd, 2009
Ian K.

Fed Up
Shut up…Shut up the lot of you!!!!!

We are one of the largest producers of software in the world and a huge manafacturer of computers in Europe. We didn’t fail beating the English you idiots!! How do you think we have our own government and police force??

By the way, Ireland is also the fifth safest country in the world, so shove that in your pipe and smoke it too.
And send that kid back to whatever cesspool of a country he’s native to and we’ll see what he has on youtube next.

I am Irish. i live in Ireland.

So I’m off to the pub now for some “craic” and hearty conversation with slightly unrefined yet quaint characters while we drink the over-priced piss that is made by a company that is allowed to operate as an aggressive monopoly.Come to Ireland!-it’s ****!

why do you think england conquered ireland? To make the country better than it was. But irish people didnt want to be ruled by england so they chose to fight.. erm bad move i think.. you went against the british empire and failed miserably. Now you wonder why irish people hate england so much its because we killed all your men simply because you went against ours for the better of ireland…
Failed Miserably, independence suggests to me otherwise, Michael Collins had the “might” of the british empire on its knees. Try visiting, and you’ll see your misinformed, backward views are untrue.

Very Blessed
I pray for all of you who need to hate others.
God bless you all

St Patrick was actually Welsh.

Geesh! All the hate!

Dear Sirs/Madams,
As you have rightly pointed out, I am a poorly educated Irish women (it is of course a result of our free universities I am sure)( but only a less civilized nation would see fit to cripple their own youth with lifelong debt, so I’ll settle for my slightly less prestigious FREE Masters degree).
And, finally;

Put any country at the end of http://www.ihate……..com and you will attract similar comments.I wont comment on any previous remarks on this site as it is pointless. However, whoever set up this web site should be really ashamed of themselves and remove it.

I have to say i do like Ireland but don’t understand it. They all support English football teams and go shopping across the Irish border to the UK because its cheaper. They all go to the UK to buy cars and every child has a football top eg… Man utd , Liverpool , Arsenal etc…. but yet they hate the same players when they play for England.

where do i start? the most culturally homogenous craphole ive visited. where even the most educated people, generally, have no real understanding of life beyond thier own county borders.yet they behave as if everyone should have total understanding of thier, history, language, humour, and habits. even the way that they try to be understanding, by attempting to associate with blacks and other refugees is the most racist, patronising, misinformed thing ive ever seen. there are a few goods ones but a decent honest irishperson is hard to find. they detest alot of western foreigners, as products of british colonialism.

Life is for living not bitching.

dave jan 16. you dumb ****. you cant claim responsibility for building america and then distance yourself from the ethnic cleansing that happened there. the irish played a significant and willing role in the colonisation of all the new world. it is pathetic to blame the english as is so often the case. i presume they get the blame solely because the british can organise themselves beyond a piss up in a brewery, unlike the irish, which i must add, are the laziest people ive come across.
list of irish achievements: guiness (now british owned)
a few degenerate and sexually perverted authors, which only became popular when the english literate classes took a liking to thier quaint vulgarity.
dave jan16. do you forget the stories of the fomorians and, more importantly, the tuatha de danann. original inhabitants of ireland who were displaced by the gaels or celtic people which still make up most of the modern population of ireland. hopefully they too will be replaced (peacefully) by the hordes of economic migrants, gypsies, refugees, and eastern europeans. who are arriving to your shores from more cultured and civilised parts of the world.

David,
You say that all Irish people are responsible for the acts of others hundreds of years ago. You must really have no life to argue such generalisations. Also, if authors of Irish descent do not entertain you then you should probably stick to your Van Damme movies.
Good luck getting some debate going here as I personally will not be checking for a reply.

Slán, Eoin

fuck irish
eion
yes there is racism all over the world but i believe what people are trying to say is that it is particularly insidious in ireland. this has certainly been my experience and that of people i have spoken to from many nations.
irish writers did achieve a sort of novelty status in the english speaking world i wouldnt class there works as great pieces of art. and yes they were british as you all were, and happy to colonise the world on the back of the british empire. maybe that is why there are so many union jack waving people in the film of the royal tour of dublin in the early part of the 20 century. a film which a few years ago was displayed for all to see in the dublin museum. or are we to believe that these thousands of people were forced to participate in the parade by gun wielding invaders. this was before you began to fight each other for the right to control ireland. a war that was won by a group which “restored” your culture in a sort of facist dictatorship which lasted about 80 yrs.
isnt it also funny that the irish phrase, most known in ireland and throughout the world, and most definately, on this site means “kiss my arse”. a testament maybe to the friendly nature of the irish.
and if the irish do have a better grasp of english, well i would consider that a victory.
god save the queen.

My God!

Frankly you just need to get over it and move on.

in other words from what I’ve seen here in Ireland i would say Ireland is great country if you would ask most of the Poles,Russians,Lithuanians..whatever , 90 out of 100 would say that Ireland is great place to be.. So all you black asses get a hell out of here
)) yes I’m a racist towards black-asses as they are real headache ;D
